October 25 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Bartram’s Garden Barn

Join us for this screening of the documentary Reclaiming Coaquannock (duration: 14 minutes), a collaboration between Ollin Yoliztli Calmecac and Scribe Video Center that tells the story of how Belmont Plateau served as a powerful gathering space for Philadelphia’s native communities from 1974–1992. This screening will be followed by an open discussion. While you’re here, be sure to check out the Meeting of the Condor and the Eagle Indigenous art exhibition. Open gallery hours are from 12–4pm.

Ollin Yoliztli Calmecac invites you to this exhibition showcasing Indigenous art from the Americas. Titled “The Meeting of the Condor and the Eagle,” it celebrates the diversity of Indigenous peoples across the continent by preserving their traditions, culture, rituals, social and ceremonial practices, healing methods, and aesthetic expressions.

Featuring local artists from the Philadelphia area and Delaware Valley, this show aims to highlight shared heritage and cosmological values, and showcase Indigenous cultures beyond common perceptions, emphasizing their depth and richness.
