Handmade Holidays
Join us in the Garden for our annual celebration of winter, local artists and makers, and community! This free public event is for the whole family, rain or shine. Access the event map and schedule here.
We’ll have a full schedule of free, wintry fun for the whole family to enjoy:
- Cross a few items off your holiday gift list and shop local at our Maker Marketplace, featuring:
- 4ever Juices, Azucar Jams, Carolyn Brandt Design, Do Centro Da Mae Terra, Dolby’s Kitchen, Doro Bet. Epis by MerceFairhope Graphics, From Our Roots, Glover Gardens, Instar Apiaries, Nana’s Hooks, Nerdi Bunni, Reason 25 Jewelry. Scents & Wicks, Serena Niesley, G+Rizz, Sister’s Original Supreme Pies, Stacey Woodson, Strange Terrariums, Tenangos Philly, Two Cats+A Dog Co.
- Warm up and make merry around the campfire with s’mores and warm seasonal drinks.
- Stop by the historic Bartram House for the final day of Southwest artist Terrence L. Gore’s exhibition Back to my Roots.
- We’re bringing back our annual pie competition! Are you a Southwest neighbor who can make a mean meringue? Sign up to compete for a grand prize of $150 and the 2025 Champion of Pie title!
- Bring the whole family—we’ll have kids’ story time, nature tree decoration, and stilt-walking with Sistah Mafalda.
- BYO-black walnuts! Our friends Lady Danni and Lynn Landes will bring the dueling nutcrackers. These machines crack, not smash, preserving large, usable pieces perfect for cooking and baking.
- Did you preorder one of our handmade Signature Botanical Wreaths or pine roping? You can pick it up to bring it home for the holidays. We’ll also have a DIY wreath-making station, a crowd favorite!
- We’re asking everyone who can bring a non-perishable food item to support Southwest families in need.
