Our Welcome Center has closed for the season. If you’d like, you can peruse our online shop here for fulfillment in 2021.
Public restrooms are closed until January 4, 2021. We appreciate your understanding.
Currently, our regularly scheduled public tours are not available. If you’re interested in scheduling a socially distanced Garden Tour in advance, please contact Andrea Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org or ext. 100.
Year-round Visitor Basics
When You Arrive: Free parking is available in our visitor parking lot. Make the Welcome Center (located in the brick courtyard) your first stop to pick up a map and tour tickets. Beverages, souvenirs, seeds, and native plants grown at Bartram’s Garden are available for purchase during our Welcome Center season.
Garden Etiquette: Bicycles and pets are welcome on the grounds, except within our eight-acre botanic garden, which is a preserved historic landmark. All pets must be leashed in accordance with City of Philadelphia ordinances.
Amenities: Public hand sanitizing stations are available at all times. Picnicking on site is encouraged. Several picnic tables are located on site.
Accessibility: ADA-accessible and gender-neutral bathrooms are available on site during our visitor season. The Welcome Center, Historic Barn, and Coach House are also ADA-accessible, as is the Bartram’s Mile Trail.
Large portions of our 50+ acre botanical garden can be explored via wheelchair, though some of our paths are currently awaiting repairs and should be used at your own discretion. If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to give us a call at 215-729-5281
