SAFETY ALERT: Owing to a fire early on October 27, the area around the Eastwick Pavilion will be closed until further notice. The rest of the Garden remains open.

Photo/Video Permission

Capture your memories

Whether snapping family photos or directing a major production, planning your photography or videography project at Bartram’s Garden is simple.

Bartram’s Garden remains open to the public every day and during all photography and videography sessions. While taking photos or video, please:

  • Do not block access to or otherwise limit others’ enjoyment of the space.
  • Do not walk or place equipment in garden beds.

Personal/Non-Commercial Use

We’re glad that the Garden is a special place for you! We welcome photography and videography for personal, non-commercial use.

There is no fee for projects in this category. Please consider making a donation to keep the Garden growing for everyone to enjoy.

Projects in this category should only include one camera and may not bring in tripods, lights, reflectors, and other equipment.

For photography of a wedding party that is not being celebrated at the Garden, please use the form below.

Commercial/Institutional Use

The 50 acres of Bartram’s Garden include an 18th-century home and outbuildings, landmark botanical gardens and natural landscapes, an accessible riverfront, and views of the downtown Philadelphia skyline. Photography and videography at the Garden for commercial and institutional use is considered on a case-by-case basis. Fees for commercial and institutional access support our mission.

Please share more details of your project using the form below and a member of our staff will be in touch with you soon. This form must be submitted at least 3 months before your requested site use for adequate accommodations. Unfortunately, we are not able to grant every request.

Projects in this category may include multiple cameras and/or the use of additional equipment like tripods, lights, and reflectors. We strongly recommend that all projects take place during our regular hours for vehicle access. No access to the Historic Bartram House is permitted without supervision from our staff; supervised access to the Sankofa Community Farm is permitted only on a case-by-case basis.
