Fruit Tree Pruning and Care
Mason Vollmer will lead a workshop looking at both the theory and practice of winter fruit tree pruning, with hands-on demonstration in the orchard at the new Community Farm and Food Resource Center at Bartram’s Garden.
Mr. Vollmer, a Horticultural Educator for over three decades and a certified arborist, is Agricultural Director at Camphill Soltane in Glenmoore, PA which has an orchard and horticultural program for adults with developmental disabilities.
This program is offered in partnership with the Philadelphia Orchard Project, a nonprofit organization that brings together community groups to grow healthy food, green spaces, and food security. All ticket sales support POP and Bartram’s Garden.
