Event Series Event Series: Weaving the Meadow

Weaving the Meadow

October 26, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 11:00 am

FREE

Explore the basics of weaving in the Bartram’s Garden Meadow! Learn how to use a free-stranded rigid heddle loom, constructed by artist Enrica Ferrero along the banks of the Schuylkill River. Use meadow plants to create unique textures and patterns.

During open hours, you can find this hidden loom by following signs from the Community Boathouse or the bike path.

Large portions of our 50+ acre botanical garden can be explored via wheelchair, though some of our outdoor paths are uneven and rocky and should be used at your own discretion. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out ahead of the event.
