Tuesday Sunset Boating for Members, Oct 10 (2017)

October 10, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Bartram’s Garden
5400 Lindbergh Blvd.
Philadelphia, 19143 United States

A special benefit for members of Bartram’s Garden, this 80-minute flatwater, small-group paddle from the Bartram’s Garden Community Boathouse to Center City and back is led by boathouse volunteers. Kayaks, paddles, life jackets, headlamps, and very basic instruction provided. All ages are welcome. Children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult in a tandem kayak. Kayaking experience is not necessary, but expect moderate physical exertion. To get to the boathouse, walk past the free parking area onto the meadow trail, which leads downhill to the Boathouse (click here for a map).

Dress in clothes that will keep you warm even if they get wet; avoid cotton—wool, silk, and synthetic materials are best. Bright water to drink and a small snack. Arrive on time; we push off from the Community Boathouse at promptly at 6:40 pm.

Cost is free for members, but participants must register in advance and sign the liability waiver (link below).
