Tower of Song: An Evening of Vocal Chamber Music

July 18, 2015 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join Tower of Song, a small women’s choir, for its fourth summer of dazzling musicianship and innovative programming. Inspired by the landscape of Bartram’s Garden, this summertime concert will take inspiration from the natural world, with repertoire exploring ideas of discovery, growth, and longing. The program will include music from around the world, ranging from folk tunes to contemporary classical settings.

Featuring some of the area’s most adventurous choral singers, Tower of Song is a semi-annual summertime immersion in music written for women’s choirs. The singers are regular performers in Philadelphia and D.C., coming to Tower of Song with both significant choral experience and a commitment to fun, fearless music-making. This year’s singers are Sonja Bontrager, Jen Hayman, Elissa Kranzler, Allison Ralph, Melinda Steffy, and Caroline Winschel.

Free admission, but space is limited! Please reserve your tickets. Donations appreciated. A reception will follow the concert.
