RESCHEDULED – Tide Field Kayak Tour with Stacy Levy and Philly EDGE (2018)

October 9, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm

Due to weather, this event has been rescheduled to Oct. 9th

The tidal fluctuation of the Schuylkill gives us a sense of the enduring quality of natural processes, occurring in the midst of our human world of concrete and steel. Tide Field both celebrates and calibrates the tide. This installation gives visitors a tangible way to connect to nature. By watching the tide and observing the surface of the water, people will get to know the river’s patterns. Explore Tide Field with the artist and learn more about the river that inspired the project.

This event is FREE and open to the public!

This is part of our Art@Bartram series. Art@Bartram’s is a multi-year collaborative initiative between Bartram’s Garden and Mural Arts Philadelphia, supported by the William Penn Foundation, that celebrates the Schuylkill River trail and its surrounding landscape, and promotes environmental stewardship.

Visit muralarts.org/artatbartrams for the full Art@Bartram’s event calendar and to learn more about the project, or get mobile alerts for all events by texting “TideRooms” to 797979.
