Tidal Schuylkill Boat Parade (2018)

Calling all gussied up sailors, tricked out skiff masons, heavily adorned floaters, and bedizen paddlers!!

Decorate anything that floats and bring it to the 8th Annual Tidal Schuylkill Boat Parade at Bartram’s Garden Community Boathouse

The Details
Anyone can be in the parade. No registration is necessary. What you do need:
— something that floats
— a LIFEVEST for you and all members of your crew
— a light of some kind: flashlights, headlamps, bike lights, etc. This is a sunset parade and you will need a light so other boats can see you.
Trophies will be awarded for the most fabulous craft, leakiest boat and everything in between!

Schedule
Paraders With Your Own Boats & Floats
— Boat load-in starts at 6:30pm at 51st Street & Botanic Ave. Do not enter via Bartram’s Garden’s main entrance. Head to 51st Street & Botanic Ave.
— Procession begins at 7pm
— There will be floats handing out free refreshments to Paraders & on the water music
— Trophies awarded at 8:30pm
— The on-land Lighthouse Parade & Party festivities (music, food trucks, glowing Spiral Q procession, art activities) will last until 10pm

Paraders Without Your Own Boats & Floats 
–If you would like to be in the parade, but have no river craft, there will be ROWBOATS available on a first come, first served basis from the dock located at the base of the meadow from 7pm – 9pm.
–Excursions will be limited to 20 minutes.

No motorized boats, please!
