Make + Take: Summertime Tinctures (2017)

July 20, 2017 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Bartram’s Garden
5400 Lindbergh Blvd.
Philadelphia, 19143 United States

$15

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the art and science of making tinctures – a cheap and easy way to use plant medicine. We will learn about ethical wildcrafting when we harvest mugwort together, then we will learn how to make a fresh plant tincture. We will cover making tincture fresh or dry plant material in a number of solvents so participants can confidently continue to explore making tinctures on their own. This is a great workshop for people wanting to make their own herbal medicine. Participants are encouraged to bring a 4 ounce glass jar with a lid and 8 oz of vodka. YOU WILL GO HOME WITH: a jar of mugwort tincture and the skills required to make tinctures of your own!

$10 members; $15 non-members.
