Special Exhibit in the Bartram House: Bartered Goods

May 25, 2012 @ 5:00 am - July 29, 2012 @ 11:00 am

Revisiting the 18th century Bartram plant trade, local artist Zach Webber traveled the city with plants strapped to the back of his bike and exchanged them for objects and stories from all walks of life. The exchanged items, photos, and the stories behind them are  displayed in the second floor of the Bartram House using recycled and salvaged materials.

The exhibit can be viewed only during guided house tours of the Bartram House, which are available Thursday through Sunday. Please click here to view our tour schedule. Day Pass Admission required or free for Members.

A special exhibition celebration featuring an artist talk with Zach Webber will be held July 12, 5:30 to 8 pm, at Bartram’s Garden.

Bartered Goods has been supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage through the Heritage Philadelphia Program.
