Schuylkill River Trail Opening Celebration

June 21, 2012 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Join us for the official opening of the Schuylkill River Trail at Bartram’s Garden. After a brief presentation, walk the .9 mile trail and receive a free bike helmet courtesy of Neighborhood Bike Works*.

The Bartram Trail is part of the regional Schuylkill River Trail (144 miles when completed) and will connect to Cobb’s Creek Trail via the 58th Street Greenway. It has been funded through a federal TIGER grant.

This project and the trails of Philadelphia are due to the advocacy and commitment of the following organizations: the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, City of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation Department, Neighborhood Bike Works, the Pennsylvania Environmental Council, and the Schuylkill River Development Corporation.

*limited quantity; first come, first-served.
