Riverbank Walk with the Philadelphia Botanical Club

April 29, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

Bartram’s Garden
5400 Lindbergh Blvd.
Philadelphia, 19143 United States

Free-Spaces Limited

Take a guided walk along our riverbank with Bartram’s Garden staff and members of the Philadelphia Botanical Club. We’ll identify the plants found there and discuss different types of ecosystems. This event is part of an ongoing series of botany trips to Bartram’s Garden this season. The goal is to survey plants and create an illustrated guide to plants of the lower Schuylkill River. This project is supported by the Penn Program in the Environmental Humanities. The tide will be rising, and we will be in wet areas, so wear boots that can get muddy.

The walk will be led by Mandy Katz and Dr. David Hewitt.

This is a free event, but space is limited. Please register in advance.
