NOTE: This event has been cancelled due to disruptions related to the construction of a pedestrian and bicycle bridge.
At the northern end of the Bartram Mile sits a nearly-forgotten piece of history. Built in 1838 and all but abandoned years ago, the Newkirk Monument was moved to Bartram’s Garden in 2016. Today, it can be seen and enjoyed by passersby and explorers on the Bartram Mile. Join us for a Paint & Sip event in this unique and beautiful spot. Beverages, instruction, and materials will be provided.
The entrance to the northern section of the trail is at 49th St. and Botanic Ave. Head north along the trail for a few minutes to reach the Newkirk Monument.
