Thank you so much for your commitment to volunteering with us at Bartram’s Garden in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unfortunately, are cancelling our Day of Service due to inclement weather. While we hold service and volunteer efforts to a high esteem, it is important to us that our community stays safe. There are still other ways to get involved and honor Dr. Martin Luther King on this monumental day. Please see our programming list below for more ways to participate in this day:

Watch a Film

Free full length film – Ava DuVernay’s 13TH . Combining archival footage with testimony from activists and scholars, director Ava DuVernay’s examination of the U.S. prison system looks at how the country’s history of racial inequality drives the high rate of incarceration in America. This piercing, Oscar-nominated film won Best Documentary at the Emmys, the BAFTAs and the NAACP Image Awards.
