This event has sold out, but you can browse upcoming Make + Take Workshops here.
11am to 1pm
Get lost in a seductive sea of natural dye. In this workshop you will learn how to create unique fabric and yarn using the natural dyeing processes. You will make a dye bath as well as Shibori resist techniques to create unique patterns with this or any other dyes. Your new skills can be used to make your own fabric, yarn or over dye an existing garment.
Please feel free to bring any fabric or yarn you’d like to use. No experience necessary and all materials are included.
This event will take place in a space that is accessible via wheelchair. ADA accessible bathrooms will be available nearby, as well. We’re happy to make accommodations for guests with mobility limitations. Large portions of our 50+ acre botanical garden can be explored via wheelchair, though some of our paths should be used at your own discretion. If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out ahead of the event.
