Winter Make + Take: Candle Making Workshop

Gourmet Candle is back by popular demand to lead another workshop at the garden!

Enjoy a fun and relaxing night out with friends and let your creativity soar at Gourmet Candle’s BYOB candle making class. We provide everything you need to create one-of-a-kind candles. Learn step-by-step instruction on how to create candles and candle burning tips. Add your own flair to your candles by mixing fragrances to make new candle scents. You’ll be inspired to learn something new and get artistic in a creative and encouraging studio environment. Once your candles have cooled, you’ll be able to take them home with you to enjoy or share.

This class will be led by teaching artist and small business owner Emerald Hill of Philadelphia’s own Gourmet Candle, which specializes in a variety of unique handmade scented (soy) candles that look and smell similar to popular desserts and various other yummy goodies. She encourages experimentation and creativity. A wide variety of candle scents will be available include Apple Cider, Christmas Tree, Gingerbread House, Candy Cane, Egg Nog, Snickerdoodle Cookies, Firewood, Hazelnut Coffee, and Banana Nut Bread!

This event will take place in a space that is accessible via wheelchair. ADA accessible bathrooms will be available nearby, as well. We’re happy to make accommodations for guests with mobility limitations. Large portions of our 50+ acre botanical garden can be explored via wheelchair, though some of our paths should be used at your own discretion.
