Kayak Tour of Lower Schuylkill Refineries

August 31, 2017 @ 12:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Bartram’s Garden
5400 Lindbergh Blvd.
Philadelphia, 19143 United States

As part of a partnership with the Sierra Club, this is a small group kayak tour of the unique landscape of the refineries and industrialized areas of the lower Schuylkill river. The tour will educate paddlers on how fossil fuel industries impact the past, present, and future of our city. Kayaks, paddles, and lifejackets will be provided. All skill levels welcome! Free for Bartram’s Garden members, a suggested cash donation of $10 for non-members participants is suggested. No advanced payment required to register.

We are offering this tour twice, on 8/31 and 9/21. Please only sign up for one tour – it is the same program on both dates.

Expect moderate physical exertion. Minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Children 11 years and younger are not allowed to be in a boat alone – an adult must accompany them in a tandem kayak.
