Bartram’s Garden will serve as the signature event site for National Public Lands Day (NPLD) 2025, a nationwide celebration of the places that connect us all. NPLD signature sites are selected because they embody the annual theme; this year’s theme, “Our Home Outdoors”, reminds us that public lands are more than just scenic spaces– they are where we gather, grow, and feel at home. This event is in partnership with the National Environmental Education Foundation, the nonprofit coordinator of National Public Lands Day for more than 30 years.
Join us at in the morning for hands-on activities and community connection. Volunteers will support our horticulture team with seasonal plantings, weeding, and invasive species removal. No experience is necessary. Attendees will also have the chance to enter a raffle for a chance to win a pair of TEVAs.
Registered volunteers will meet at the Welcome Center promptly at 9:30 AM. Staff will separate groups and provide instructions and safety protocols for the day. Out of respect and safety for our staff and others, please arrive on time.
PLEASE NOTE: Capacity is limited; participants MUST be pre-registered (using link below) in order to partake. Each adult must register individually in order to complete the required waivers.
Registration full but would like to still participate? Please contact Kimani Keaton at to be added to our waitlist. Parents/guardians must complete registration for individuals 18 and under.
