MEMBERS ONLY: Grave Gardening at The Woodlands

June 2, 2016 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

The Grave Gardeners are a group of over 70 dedicated volunteers who have each adopted a grave in the Center Circle of the cemetery at The Woodland in order to tend it throughout the season. Bartram’s Garden members are invited to join us in honoring Anne Bartram Carr, who was buried at the Woodlands Cemetery 1858, by planting her gravesite with a collection of plants from her 19th-century “pleasure garden.” Curious about the process of transitioning a grave into a beautiful flower garden? Roll up your sleeves and join in for a participatory gardening demonstration.
