Gente de Tierra
Join us for a FREE community event to connect *SAFELY* with land workers, artists, activists, and organizers from our Southwest neighborhood. We’ll be set up in the picnic area next to the orchard at Sankofa Community Farm at Bartram’s Garden.
Land workers, artists, organizers, children, and elders, please join us for:
- Vendors
- Herbs, veggie & seed distribution
- Local artist gallery & vendor market
- Lawn games
- Drinks & snacks
- Garden cleanup w/ rewards!
- Plant swap station
- Material & goods trading post
We’re out here to raise funds and allocate support for La Semilla Del Sol Santuario and local Black and Brown community members part of the Frontline Meals and Reparations network.
Donations may be sent to paypal.me/casasabera, with the note “gente de tierra.”
Please note that this space centers our Black and Brown kin. We ask those who are not Black and Brown to please be conscientious about how you enter and navigate the space.

This event has been rescheduled from August 1.
As of July 30, 2021, Bartram’s Garden again requires that all people wear masks in all of our indoor spaces. To help limit the spread of COVID, please follow the current City of Philadelphia guidelines for visiting an outdoor public space.
