Friday Movie Night: Fifth Element

Outdoor movie nights are back at the Garden this summer! Every fourth Friday, weather-permitting, you can bring your picnic blankets, bug spray, and snacks, and enjoy a free, family-friendly movie under the evening sky. We’ll have popcorn, lemonade, and water to share! No registration necessary.
This movie night, we’ll be showing the intergalactic classic, The Fifth Element. Come early for the featured pre-movie activities we have planned:
- Community biking along the Bartram’s Mile Trail with our partner, The Bicycle Coalition from 3-8pm. Free bike rentals and helmets will be available at the Garden’s Bike Container.
- Our friends at Swim Pony will also be there promoting two of their dynamic, nature-based games:
- Aqua Marooned!, a card game created for the Alliance for Watershed Education (AWE) that has Bartram’s Garden-specific deck.
- TrailOff, an audio storytelling app that uses your phone’s technology to transport you into an augmented reality world that syncs to your movements as you walk a trail. Participants will take a guided walk through the Garden, using the app to navigate a site-specific sci-fi story Chronicles of Asylum. After the guided walk, we’ll be finishing with a Q&A with the story’s author. Get more info on the Trail Off Guided Walk here.
We encourage you to enter and park at the Garden’s 56th Street entrance and parking lot.
