Saturday Walk-Up Boating, July 1 (2017): CANCELLED

Free Saturday river boating is cancelled until July 8. We are closed to make tweaks that respond to overwhelming demand. Our priority is the best visitor experience and safety.Tuesday sunset boating for members will continue as scheduled. Please check back with us and thank you for your patience.

Our most popular river program! Explore this quiet stretch of the Schuylkill River on one of our kayaks or rowboats. No registration or boating experience necessary. All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult. We provide the boats, life jackets and basic instruction. Boating excursions limited to 30 minutes.

Location
Free Saturday Boating embarks from our Community Boathouse, which is located on the northern tip of Bartram’s Garden. Walk past the free Parking area onto the Meadow trail, which leads downhill to the Boathouse (click here for a map).
