Event Series Event Series: Venus Fly Trap

Edible and Medicinal: A Nature Walk and Workshop – Venus Fly Trap

June 1 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

Join Nommo Apothecary founder and herbalist Simone Davis for a plant identification walk near the Ganoshowanna/Manayunk River (Schuylkill River) in Bartram’s Garden, where participants will be meeting edible and medicinal plants and trees growing within the grounds.

Together we will craft herbal oxymels (a honey and vinegar-based herbal infusion that can be used for soothing sore throats, delicious salad dressings or marinades, and more) with native plants to take home. This walk is for anyone looking to start their journey with plants or curious to learn more about them!

Supplies will be provided. Comfortable walking shoes recommended.

Free to attend, but capacity is limited. RSVP required. This plant walk is part of the programming for Venus Fly Trap by Joiri Minaya.
