CineSPEAK presents: Chloé Mazlo’s ‘Skies of Lebanon’

Join us at Bartram’s Garden for a special outdoor presentation of Chloé Mazlo’s Skies of Lebanon, with a pre-show performance by Julius Masri.

Feel free to BYO beverages and snacks. Movie concessions will also be available for purchase.

ABOUT THE FILM:

A poetic blending of the personal and political, Skies of Lebanon combines live action with animation to create a vivid picture of Lebanon, inspired by the family history of the filmmaker.

ABOUT JULIUS MASRI:

 Julius Masri is a Philadelphia-based musician and composer who plays Jazz, Experimental Noise, Metal, Arabic music, and much more. Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, he moved to the states at the age of 12 and began studying drums as well as any instrument that piqued his curiosity. His current projects include the Grind-metal two-piece Night Raids, Jazz trio Dromedaries (new album coming soon), Trombone and Circuit Bent electronics duo Superlith (also new album coming soon), and the “everything and the Arabic kitchen-sink” solo project Mephisto Halabi (album available on German label Unrock).

West/Southwest residents and ACCESS Cardholders: $2 (Guests must provide proof of benefits or residency within 1 mile of Bartram’s Garden)
