2nd Annual Birding Smackdown

May 1, 2015 - May 10, 2015

It’s Back! Do you have eagle eyes? Think you have what it takes to help your favorite historic site in West Philly win the Second Annual Birding Smackdown? Bartram’s Garden and The Woodlands are joining forces again for a friendly, out-of-the-nest competition to determine who can claim they’re the hottest spot for birds and birders. We’re also planning a handful of great bird walks and events the week of the competition- there’s something for all ages and levels!

The site with the most variety of bird species reported during the competition will be declared the 2015 Smackdown Winner, and will receive bragging rights for 365 days! There are lots of great prizes for our birders, too, so stay tuned!
