Billy Martin presents: Stridulations
Drummer Billy Martin presents music inspired by cricket song and patterns in nature. Martin (Medeski Martin & Wood) will perform in the Bartram’s meadow with five Philadelphia percussionists. This evening-length event in partnership with Ars Nova also features nighttime kayaking on the Schuylkill River, special after-dark garden walks, a beer garden, and a public discussion, as well as a moonlit exploration of the percussive sounds created by crickets and cicadas.
