9th Annual Tidal Schuylkill Boat Parade (2019)

an eclectic collection of boats and floats, including a giant inflated parrot, on the Schuylkill River

July 27, 2019 @ 7:00 am - 11:00 am

Bartram’s Garden Community Boathouse
5400 Lindbergh Blvd.
Philadelphia, PA 19143 United States

Calling all gussied up sailors, tricked out skiff masons, heavily adorned floaters and costumed paddlers!!

Decorate anything that floats and bring it to the Bartram’s Garden Community Boathouse to be in our parade! No boat? We will have our small fleet of kayaks and rowboats available for free for folks who want to join the parade.

The parade is happening alongside our weekly Saturday Free Boating.

Trophies will be awarded for the most fabulous costumes, best decorated boat, leakiest boat and everything in between. Activities include music, face painting, a floating pretzel stand and free bike rentals from the Bicycle Coalition.

If bringing your own boat enter site via 51st Street!! The Fairmount Park Gate at 51st and Botanic Avenue will be open. Load in happens under the train bridge. It is a rough patch, so small boats encouraged. The launch can not accommodate motorized boats. Every passenger must have a lifevest.
