Curator’s Tour: Franklinia

Curator Joel Fry will lead a garden tour focusing on Franklinia, the rare native plant from Georgia, saved from extinction by the Bartram family. Paint & Sip: Franklinia (2021)

As we savor the long summer evenings, let’s paint the blooming Franklin tree together while enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of an outdoor BYO Paint & Sip. Sankofa Community Farm Volunteer Day

Health reminders: Masks must be worn in accordance with Pennsylvania and City of Philadelphia COVID-19 requirements. If you are sick or concerned about symptoms, please do not volunteer. Public restrooms will be open for the duration of the volunteer day and will be disinfected regularly. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up with their pods if possible. Honeybees & Mushrooms

An exploration in biodiversity, interactive species, urban ecologies and foraging. “Honeybees & Mushrooms” is a two-season event featuring scheduled honeybee hive tours and mushroom hikes at Bartram’s Garden in the Spring and Fall of 2021.
