Hours and Tours
Bartram’s Garden is free to those who wish to explore on their own from dawn to dusk, with the exception of City-observed holidays. For a more in-depth experience, guided tours are offered Thursday – Sunday, April 1 – December 6, of both the National Historic Landmark Bartram House and Garden.

Garden Etiquette: Bicycles, pets and picnicking are welcome on the grounds, except within our eight-acre c.1728 botanic garden. Pets must be leashed in accordance with City of Philadelphia ordinances.
Amenities: Several picnic tables are located on site. While we do not offer dining facilities, snacks and beverages are available in the Welcome Center during our visitor season. Click here to check out a map of other nearby restaurants in the University City area.
ADA Accessibility: ADA accessible bathrooms are available on site. We also offer wheelchairs and canes for rent by the day in our Garden Shop. Please note that only the first floor entry room of the Bartram house is wheelchair accessible.
