Give Where It Helps
Join a global network of individuals who care about the preservation of Bartram’s Garden, and who want to protect and enhance our natural world and the environment.
Generations of thoughtful, devoted stewards have sustained Bartram’s Garden for almost three hundred years. Help us preserve the garden for the generations still to come by making a tax-deductible gift to the Annual Fund today.
The John Bartram Association invests nearly $1 million each year to ensure that Bartram’s Garden stays free and open to the public year-round. Your gift supports the many ways that John Bartram’s legacy lives on today: educating local children about science, healthy living, and the environment; welcoming hikers, bikers, anglers, and recreationalists on the newly extended Schuylkill River Trail; providing garden plots and fresh produce to families in our neighborhood; and most importantly, offering all our visitors a scenic respite from the bustle of everyday life.
We have begun work to restore Ann Bartram Carr’s historic garden––the first garden restoration in more than a century. Ann inherited her grandfather’s passion for nature and drive to make Bartram’s Garden a special place; as the first Bartram to open the gardens to the public, we think she would be especially pleased to see so many supporters and friends arriving here today.
Join us to welcome the next generation of stewards. Give online through our secure server or use our United Way Donor Choice number 3136.
Make a lasting gift to the Garden by joining the Franklinia Society. We are grateful to those who have provided for the John Bartram Association in their estate plans, either through a bequest or charitable gift annuities that provide tax benefits and income for life to the donor.
We greatly appreciate our Franklinia Society members, who have ensured the future of Bartram’s Garden as a place of curiosity and discovery for generations to come.
