LEARNING IS FUN
AT BARTRAM'S GARDEN

Colonial naturalist John Bartram's 45-acre farm on the grassy banks of the Schuylkill River provides a unique and fun outdoor classroom for quality education programs in natural history, colonial history, and environmental science. Kids really enjoy learning here!

Programs are available all year for pre-school through high school students. Choose from a variety of seasonal programs including tree identification, cider-making, botanical illustration, apiculture, ornithology, colonial food preparation, medicinal herbs, and more.  Call the Education Department at 215.729.5281 x110, for detailed descriptions of the classes or to make a reservation.

Several Bartram educational programs are ideal for adults (church groups, senior centers, garden clubs, etc.), including tree identification, botanical illustration, medicinal herbs, and map study of Philadelphia then and now.
